Thursday, March 2 marked the second anniversary of the passing of Bunny Wailer, a member of the iconic Wailers trio, which was rounded out with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.

His family held their own quiet reflection in memory of Neville O'Riley Livingston (Bunny Wailer's given name), but plan to have a big celebration for his birthday next month.

"We just hold a meditation ... no celebration. His memory and messages are always in our hearts and we, his children, vow to carry our Don Dadda's legacy onward," Bunny Wailer's only son, Abijah, told THE WEEKEND STAR.

He added: "But since Jah B's earthstrong is April 10, we are preparing to host the Rootsman Skanking concert in his honour."

However, uppermost in the hearts of Bunny Wailer's children is his missing spouse, Jean 'Sis Jean' Watt, who wandered from Bunny Wailer's home on May 23, 2020, and has not been seen since. Watt, then 70, reportedly suffers from dementia but was being treated.

Last Friday, Abijah posted a message on social media: "Missing you more and more each day. The search is still on as the investigation continues. Love you #QueenJean."

Abijah, who is a singer and also known as Asadenaki, shared that following the islandwide search which was launched in May of 2020, the family is still responding to news of sightings.

"We continue to search; no body has been discovered, so we are hopeful that Sis Jean is alive. One private investigator did suggest that there could be foul play ... the underground people are saying that it look funny, like something gwaan ... so he has been tracking to see what exactly happened on that day when she disappeared," Abijah explained.

He noted that through a documentary, Wail N Soul: The Search for Sis Jean, a deliberate effort has been made to keep her face "fresh in the minds of the public".

Abijah reflected that Sis Jean had gone missing before, the last time being five month prior to the May 2020 incident, and that she was always found speedily.

"If Sis Jean knows one thing, regardless of whether she is taking her medication consistently or not, is that she is Bunny Wailer's wife. The time before this when she wandered away, that's how the police knew to bring her back to the house. She told them that she was Bunny Wailer's wife. So ... this is very hard ... it rough," Abijah said.

Sis Jean, who was Bunny Wailer's spouse of 50 years, is dreadlocked and about five feet three inches tall.

A reward of $1 million has been offered to anyone with information that can lead to Sis Jean.
