Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Vipedan is determined to become the next big star in dancehall music.

The 19-year-old deejay, who released his debut single, Braffing Time, in 2021, has his eyes set on international stardom.

"I want to achieve all the accolades that come with that level of success. When I accomplish this goal, I'm hoping to change people's lives by setting up a charity that will help poor people all over Jamaica," said the artiste.

Vipedan is currently promoting a new single titled Rip Jeans, which was released on the MUSIC UK imprint on May 5. The video for the song was released on his Vevo channel on the same day.

"I'm very happy with the response that my song and my video are getting. I'm grateful to everyone who's supporting my career, including the DJs who are playing my song and the fans who are streaming and downloading it online. I also have to give a big shout-out to all the members of my team, especially my mother, Miss Thurdina Bennett; she's my number one supporter," said Vipedan.

The deejay, who is in upper-sixth form at St Catherine High School, is currently busy working on new projects.

"Right now, I'm putting in a lot of work in the studios. My fans can expect a lot of hot new singles from me in the coming months," he said.

Vipedan, given name Cavel Jaheim Daley, is a graduate of Central High School in Clarendon.
