Conscious reggae singer Warrior King has enormous respect for his father, Tass Emanuel Dyer, and he doesn't really need a special day to show his love and appreciation for the man with whom he shares an excellent relationship.

However, he does take the time on Father's Day to go that extra mile.

"My father likes to go out and eat, so sometimes we do that, or if I travel and see something nice that I know he will like, I'll buy it for him," Warrior King told THE WEEKEND STAR. "But my father is a humble man, enuh. Is him I get that trait from. And he appreciates even a phone call to say 'I love you'."

The Never Go Where Pagans Go singer noted that it may not be the norm for men to tell their fathers that they love them out loud, but for him the words are important.

"I tell my father all the while, 'Daddy, I love you.' If we are talking on the phone, before we hang up I am saying those words. And my kids do the same to me. They will just come up to me and tell me 'I love you' and I will say 'Thank you Isaiah; thank you Michaela. I love you, too'," the songwriter shared.

Blessed with five children, whose ages range from 21 to two years old, Warrior King, whose given name in Mark Dyer, refers to his children as his princes and princesses because they are the "sons and daughters of a king". He is the father of three boys and two girls, and he admits that fatherhood has made him view life differently, especially as a father of girls.

"There comes a point when you put down certain things and leggo of certain people who may influence you down the wrong path. Sometimes when you on tour and every man haffi look a girl, sometimes yuh follow dem. But in your soul you know it's wrong, but you do it just to be in the mix. But ... I don't want anybody to hurt any of my daughters like that, so certain things you let go of long before," the entertainer stated.

He is big on setting good examples for his children to follow, and although he admits that "yuh not going to always get it right", for him, it's important to learn from your mistakes.

With Father's Day on Sunday, the Virtuous Woman singer is anticipating that his wife and children will do something special for him.
