Abnormal Records and 3Leaf Ent promote ‘Rich Badness’
Rich Badness, a collaboration between Chronic Law and Bam Rush, has been making waves since it was released more than a week ago.
The song, which is produced by Abnormal Records and 3Leaf Entertainment, has racked up more than 110,000 views on YouTube. Producer DJ KrisSonic of Abnormal Records explained how the collaboration with Chronic Law came about.
"Initially, the song was done by Bam Rush. After listening to the song with members of our team, we thought it best that Chronic Law would be a great addition to the track, so we visited him at his studio and the rest was just magic," said DJ KrisSonic. He described working with both artistes as "pretty smooth" because "their work ethics are top tier".
DJ KrisSonic has been involved in music production since 2015 when he started Abnormal Records. He shared that one of his biggest challenges as a young producer was getting established artistes on his beats. He also lamented not having much freedom when trying to be creative with the productions.
''Established artistes should have stronger faith in younger producers because the fans of the music are always in search of fresher sounds and that's usually from the 'younger heads'," he stated. His passion for music began at an early age.
"Music runs in my family, it's in the blood so it all started because of the strong love I have for music, I just had to create it," he said.
Abnormal Records has worked with the likes of Sikka Rhymes ( Fast or Slow), Sizzla ( Question), Maestro Don ( Miraculous) Munga Honorable ( Nuff Gyal) and I-Waata ( Charge Up) among others.
"The feedback to Rich Badness has been superb so far. The people are very receptive to the song and it's definitely creating waves," said DJ KrisSonic.
Born Shamar Chambers, DJ KrisSonic made his debut in 2021 with the 'Miraculous' rhythm project.
