Sophia Brown enjoying the best of both worlds

Reggae singer Sophia Brown is having the time of her life as she juggles her literary pursuits and her music career.

The vivacious entertainer who recently published her first book, a tell-all memoir titled Heart of a Broken Girl, is currently working on a children's book that she plans to release in December.

"The response to my first book has been positive and I plan to keep on writing. At the moment, I am putting the finishing touches on a children's book that I am co-authoring with my son, Jahmel Clarke. I am extremely excited about this project because I have always wanted to write a children's book, and co-writing it with my son has made it a very enjoyable experience," said the artiste.

Brown also revealed that she plans to publish the second volume of her memoirs early next year.

"I can guarantee my readers that it will be even more thought-provoking and entertaining than the first volume," she said.

Brown is also enjoying a huge buzz with her new single, Frozen, which was released on the MusicMecka label in May.

"It is getting favourable airplay at home and other parts of the world, including Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria, the UK, and the US," she said.

Also on the cards for her is an upcoming US tour which is being organised by John Marsha of Worldwide Services Bookings in Atlanta.

"I will be on the road between August and October promoting my books and my new single. This tour will include appearances in several major cities," she said.

The tour is scheduled to run from the second week of August to the first week of October.
