Baghdad Records and Ojay On The Beat team up

Producers Nadrae 'Baghdad' Hendricks and Ojay On The Beat believe they have scored a hit with emerging deejay Dray Thugz on the track Illustrate.

The project was officially released on June 16 on the Baghdad Records label.

"My hope for the song is for it to reach out and uplift the listeners to believe in themselves and have self-love and know they're destined for greatness," said Baghdad.

Based in Jamaica and Barbados, Baghdad Records has been in existence since 2014, but officially launched in 2018.

"I found passion in music at a tender age. Whether you are having a good or bad day, the power of music can change that," he added.

Ojay On The Beat said that he and Baghdad have curated a seamless working experience since 2018.

"We officially started working since 2020, during COVID. Since then, we have a good chemistry with recording artistes and building beats together," the producer said.

He, too, has high hopes for Illustrate, and envisions the song becoming a huge success.

"I have no doubts about Baghdad Records and Dray Thugz with our new project. We want the new masses and ears to give this track a listening ear," he added.

Ojay On The Beat has also managed to create waves with other artistes in his career.

"Most of my most famous releases are currently with younger artistes such as Maestro Don, Slyngaz, Lavisch Music, Tella TOF and many others. More popular artistes that I've worked with through third party communication/production to name a few would be Squash, Malie Don, Skillibeng, Valiant, Kraff, Chronic Law, Tommy Lee Sparta, Teejay, Quada and many other established artistes that I've created/composed instrumentals for," he explained.

Ojay On The Beat said he will be furthering his "education in music university" and looks to start his own professional recording studio.
