Ashroc blasts ‘2 Face’ people
Dancehall artiste Ashroc is blazing a fire with his latest single 2 Face, which explores the complex emotions of friendship, hypocrisy and betrayal.
"The feedback to this 2 Face song has been tremendous so far. Big respect to BadIndian Records and the team. The message resonates with a lot of people who love the track because they have experienced betrayal and hypocrisy on some level. Right now, we're turning up the promotion to reach a wider audience," said the artiste, whose given name is Garcia Edwards.
Ashroc grew up in Berkshire district in Westmoreland. He attended The Manning's School where he developed a love for music during his adolescent years, performing under the name Fyah Pal. He shared how he came up with his current stage name, Ashroc.
"I came up with 'ashrock' which is formed when a volcano erupts and lava cools and forms a rock ... and I shortened the word and spelled my stage name as Ashroc," he said.
He released his first single, Action, in 2018 on his birthday, and has continued to hone his craft, scoring a radio hit with Hustling Fever, his most popular song to date.
