Chuck Fenda a hit in Belize
Travellers Lounge in Belize City, Belize, wasn't able to accommodate the large number of patrons who came out to see headliner, reggae artiste Chuck Fenda in performance on June 25.
Those inside the venue were treated to more than an hour of conscious reggae music in which the singjay spared no detail in delivering a workmanlike performance.
"When I got to Belize, the promoter told me that the venue was sold out, but when I got there, I realised that it was too small to hold the large crowd that came out. This was my second time performing on the mainland in Belize City and the fans were really appreciative of the music and the message," said Chuck Fenda.
The artiste went to work delivering hits such as Gash Dem, I Swear, Coming Over Tonight (with the ladies in the audience singing Cherine Anderson's part of the song), All About the Weed, Haffi Win and Song for Mama.
Said Chuck Fenda, "Despite the fireworks that were going off inside the venue and the torches that blazed, I remained focused on entertaining my audience."
The performance was a part of the artiste's Caribbean tour where he is promoting his latest album, Eternal Fire. On August 6, he will perform at Reggae Jam Jam in celebration of Jamaica's 61st Independence in Houston, Texas. He then heads to New York City's Central Park for Summerstage on August 12.
