With a heartfelt apology, selector/producer Foota Hype has shared his displeasure in prolonging 'years of beefing' with Bounty Killer, following the deejay's viral photo which revealed he did surgery in the past.

"I felt disappointed with myself because the post sparked a wave of memories, and when you have somebody that is that impactful in your life, you're going to have ups and downs, yes and no, and arguments. But once the good outweighs the bad, it's worth trying. If this happens to Bounty in 2021, when I saw the stitches and the surgery wounds, it made me realise that I could've been holding on to egotistical behaviour. I would've lost somebody who played a major role in my life and then I couldn't tell him how much I appreciated him while him gone," Foota Hype told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Foota Hype, who responded to Bounty Killer's post via a touching Instagram post, said that his post needed to be made while the deejay is still here.

"No matter what is happening now with me and Bounty, I cannot ignore the fact that God directed my blessing through Rodney Price [Bounty Killer's given name] so I can be this great name that I am now," shared Foota Hype, whose given name is Oneil Thomas. He acknowledged reggae legend Leroy Sibbles for introducing him to the deejay years ago and he stated that they "have been creating history whether good or bad" ever since.

"So I thought it was my responsibility to make Bounty know, whether directly or through the post that he's appreciated and respected and there's one world of gratitude for what he has done. His impact has changed my life [and] mould this brand into such a humongous brand that it is today," he said, adding that he now feels less burdened "because I was doing something that was not right". Foota Hype said it doesn't matter to him if the deejay responds or reaches out. However, if the 'Five Star General' wishes to reignite an old friendship, Foota Hype said he would look mostly to have the "deep reasonings" he once had with him as he described their current relationship as "weird but good". He dismissed rumours about the feud starting from comments he made. He explained that the deejay is a very dominant person whose words may come across a certain way.

"So sometime di way how Killer woulda talk to you, deal wid yuh some type a way and sometimes mi know him nuh mean it, but if yuh embarrass mi publicly, I'm gonna stand on business publicly. So, this is basically [due to] two dominant powerhouses who go at it sometimes," he declared.

"[So] I'd rather forget what we had as a dispute, fi mek wi cool because you coulda did dead and mi nuh wah yuh dead - mi waah yuh live, be happy. Mi waah yuh bless; mi waah him get back him visa, mi waah di best things fi Bounty; I do not want Bounty Killer to die. The surgery could have not come out successful, yuh nuh. How mi woulda feel?" he stressed. In moving forward, Foota Hype advised everyone to learn to forgive.

"Ego is dangerous. Just connect back wid dem people deh and mek life nice again because life short," he encouraged.
