Vanessa Bling and Dexta Daps drop ‘High School Love’

Vanessa Bling and Dexta Daps created “magic” when they collaborated on the single, High School Love.

The single, which was inspired by a new-found ‘puppy love’ story, was a concept created by Bling.

“I did write my part addi song already and mi a think who best could deliver dis song and I thought about Dexta Daps. Fly to Miami, wi link up and him come and just deliver so excellent,” she told THE WEEKEND STAR. Bling is confident that this collaborative single will definitely be a hit.

“It’s mostly about love – young love, reminiscing back about when going to high school, [having yuh] high school love. It’s just a love song, it’s all about love,” she said. “I always tell my fans to expect the unexpected from Vanessa Bling but when yuh listen dis song, trust me, it ago put yuh inna dah vibe deh,” she said.

Bling said in addition to the solid beat, high-energy and creative lyrics, working with Dexta Daps brings such “natural chemistry” that will automatically draw in its listeners.

“Dexta Daps is a vibes. I can’t stop elaborate how talented he is [but] he is very humble and very vibesy – him just natural and be himself and that’s what I love. Wi tek like 25 minutes fi finish up di song and it was really really cool because the chemistry was there and I [told Dexta] the layout before, so he understands where I was going. So it was just for him to come in finish it and I put the finishing touch – dats it,” she shared.
