Grammy-Award winner Sean Paul said he was "thrilled" that his 2016 collaboration ' Cheap Thrills' with Australian singer/songwriter Sia was certified nine-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

"I'm thrilled that Cheap Thrills is still going. It's one of those crazy collabs that I didn't plan for. Bless Sia for shouting me out and for allowing me to do what I do [best]. My style is versatile so anything people ask me to do and support, I find something special for it and just add to di chune. It's been quite a few songs like that for me and I have to give thanks," Sean Paul told THE WEEKEND STAR. "It feels good to add to the record [of his awards catalogue] and becomes a record breaking single - very dope."

Coming off of his 21 city 'Greatest' US tour, in which he did approximately "26 performances in a [little over] 30 days", the artiste is currently on the Europe phase of the tour. It got off to an emotional start with its first stop in France. The Rockabye artiste introduced his children to his more than 30,000 "adoring fans". Sean Paul smiled from ear-to-ear as his children, Levi and Remi, sat midway the stage.

"Mi son was just excited when I told him he was coming to see the shows and he kept asking me to come pon di stage," Sean Paul laughed as he reminisced. "While the amount a people did kinda shy him out, both a dem had fun and learned a likkle bit more about what daddy does. My son had seen two other big shows before now but that was when he was only two and he's now seven. So I think it means a lot more to him now. And mi daughter a four and she was just having fun up there man," he said.

He opined that it was really important for him to share this memorable family moment to pass on a vital lesson to his children.

"It's just about me showing my kids the love and showing them that why I'm away so much is because there's a lot of people who want to see me perform. That part is always hard for me to go away and leave them because I missed out on a lot a 'first time' [moments] doing things with my kids and I'm not involved and that really pains me a lot. Suh a want dem to know that even though I'm away a lot, it's this important reason," he said.

As the European supporters look forward to seeing him, Sean Paul said that he too is excited to show the crowd what he has to deliver.

"Fans can expect the energy same way as I pride myself on being a fit person; a lot of people marvelled how I can keep it up," he said. He also promised to continue unveiling some of his new songs such as Unavailable with Davido and its remix with Ding Dong. The tour ends in Nyon, Switzerland, on July 23.
