Rondell Positive revives Brand New World
Gospel artiste Rondell Positive says his remake of Dr Myles Munroe's classic, ' Brand New World', is particularly important at this time, given the challenges being faced across the globe.
The song, written in 1973, speaks about the importance of having God at the centre of all things if changes are going to be realised. The overarching message of Brand New World is that true, lasting change cannot be achieved through human inventions, achievements, or efforts alone. Instead, it highlights that a 'brand new world' requires a personal and spiritual transformation rooted in faith. The track holds a deeply personal significance for Rondell Positive, who was introduced to the song as a young child by his father. He said that releasing the song now, during the 10th anniversary of Dr Munroe's passing, is especially meaningful for the artiste, as he feels it's the perfect time to share its powerful message with the world.
"I've carried this song in my spirit for 43 years, ever since I learned it as a child. Over time, I've seen its message come alive as nations and societies, including the USA and Jamaica, have fought to achieve the change they desperately seek. But no political leader, however ideal, can fulfil this longing for transformation -- it requires something deeper, something spiritual. That's what Brand New World speaks to: the real change only faith can bring," the gospel artiste said.
He added:"Politicians can't give humanity the change that it needs. Only God can divinely orchestrate what the world needs. And so, I will always point people to Christ. Every song I write, or sing, is written in the 'key of man' - made in the image of God - and carries a message for humanity."
