Love ‘still a win’ for TC and Tollani

Lovebirds Keticia 'TC' Chatman and her long-time partner, Tollani Reynolds, have been counting down to Valentine's Day, eager to celebrate another year of love and partnership.

For many, TC and Tollani's love story may have seemed to bloom overnight. But their journey started long before the public knew. According to Tollani, their connection dates back to 2020, when TC was still just an acquaintance.

"She was a friend of mine before we even got together. She popular from long time, so people know 'bout her. But mi know her through a mutual friend and her supporting my phone business at the time," he recalled. Despite being drawn to her, Tollani had to play the waiting game.

"Mi always like her, but she never did a give me no talk or gi mi di chance fi mek a move. Yuh know how woman stay," he said, laughing.

"Mi nuh know, but mi get brave and decide fi just go all out. Mi send one a mi friend to her and tell her mi waan talk to her. Mi did inna di car, and she come in di car, and mi an har talk for like a good 20-30 minutes. Mi tell her she nah go regret it, 'cause mi really like her, and it a go work out." He followed up with a heartfelt message that night.

"Mi send her one next long paragraph fi reassure her. Because mi really did want she trust mi and gi mi a chance, and she did." Tollani said he was around her 24/7.

"Even if mi leave, we deh pon di phone like long-distance relationship. When mi pon di road, she deh pon di phone wid mi. When she out, same thing. Di spark still deh deh, and we never bored," he shared.

For many, TC is the definition of bubbly and high-energy, while Tollani is the cool, laid-back counterpart. It's a dynamic that works perfectly for them.

"My energy always pon a high, and even though him calm, mi just know how fi get around him. Mi know how fi bring out di side of him dat nobody nuh really know," TC said, laughing. Tollani agreed, admitting that while he wasn't always used to TC's larger-than-life personality, he embraced it over time.

"It was something new to me, but it wasn't bad. Never a dull moment 'round her. TC mek mi laugh, she funny, and mi match her energy," he shared. But Tollani said he also has a fun side -- one that TC knows exactly how to bring out.

"Lot of people nuh know mi fun side, but when mi deh 'round her, she bring it out, and mi match her energy."

For their fifth Valentine's Day together, there are plans for a special night, but without the over-the-top decorations.

"Mi cya bother wid di rose petals and dem supmn deh inna mi house, 'cause mi nuh know a who a go clean it up," TC joked. "We always keep it romantic and show that we love each other, have a nice little dinner."

And while many women are known for just receiving gifts on Valentine's Day, TC makes sure to spoil her man, too.

"Tollani always get nice gifts, not just... you know," she said with a laugh.

For Tollani, the most important thing is continuing to show love and appreciation beyond Valentine's Day.

"Mi always reassure her, mek she know seh, 'No matter what, yuh a mi girl, and mi a yuh man.' Already have mi gifts fi her, get di roses and di settings. Even though wi in di public eye, wi still like wi private moments," Tollani shared.

As for the future, wedding bells might not be far off.

"Well, yuh know, everything inna di making. Nuttin nuh wrong wid dat. Mi have no problem wid getting married, neither does she. So, yuh never can tell -- probably soon mi a go go pon mi knee and pop di question," Tollani hinted.
