Likkle Vybz trods ‘Love Lane’ for the ladies

Dancehall artiste Likkle Vybz is spreading some love this Valentine's weekend with the release of his first solo EP, aptly titled ' Love Lane'.

Dedicating this one to the ladies, Love Lane highlights a different, softer side of the artiste.

"I just want the work to speak for itself, honestly. [It's] four songs for the ladies, because you know that you cannot leave the ladies out. I really want them to resonate well with anyone who takes the time out to listen to what I have to say," Likkle Vybz said. Completed in roughly a month, the EP shows growth and maturity on Likkle Vybz's part.

"I've been wanting to drop a solo EP for a while now, so I have been putting in the work to build myself musically. One day I was home listening to some riddims and I found one by Kahtion Beatz and it just clicked. I then wrote my lead single, Ready, and the rest is history," he added. The other tracks are Miss Independent, Best Friend, and Secret; for the latter, he enlisted his father, Vybz Kartel. Likkle Vybz has been following in his father's footsteps and has steadily been making a name for himself. So far, he has released singles such as Rich Off, Greatness and Fresh Pair. He also released the joint EP, Skinny Jeans, alongside his brother, Likkle Addi, under their shared UTG (Uptown Gaza Records) production label.

In the meantime, Likkle Vybz is keeping busy with a myriad of solo projects, and others featuring several major players.

"I am focused on the music. These projects that I'm releasing, I'll be putting more time and energy into it, and all my supporters can look out for more singles and more collaborations from Likkle Vybz," he said.
