Woman shot dead in Nutshell, St Catherine last night

A woman is now dead and a man was injured after they came under gunfire while driving in the Nutshell community in St Catherine last night.

Dead is 37-year-old bartender Keneisha Bailey, otherwise called 'Finey' of Main Street, Ewarton in the parish.

Reports say that about 11:45 p.m., Bailey was travelling in a motor car driven by the injured man.

Upon reaching near Nutshell Square, occupants of a Toyota Voxy motor vehicle opened fire on the car, hitting both Bailey and the driver.

The vehicle was driven to the Linstead Hospial where Bailey succumbed to her injuries.

The man was admitted and later transferred to the Kingston Public Hospital.
