US-based Guyanese recording artiste Samuel the Comet is promising his reggae-loving fans an array of good music in 2025 and beyond.

The songwriter and producer, whose given name is Samuel Benjamin, recently released a soulful lovers' rock anthem titled Don't Let Go on Valentine's Day. The self-produced track was recorded on his Ready Now Entertainment record label.

"I am excited about the projects I have to release. My new single is getting a lot of airplay in Jamaica and other places around the world. Based on the feedback I am receiving, I am confident that it will be a hit," said Samuel the Comet. He said he is pleased with the steady growth of his career.

"The growth is magical," said the singer, whose love for reggae surpasses the one he has for his native country's genre, shanto, or even calypso music.

"I have a brethren, his name is Zion, and as a youth, every time I go to his home to hold a vibes, he used to be playing Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and people like Dennis Brown. I used to listen all of them. And then later in my teenage years, I came across Culture's album ( Wings of a Dove), and the songs were speaking to my reality. That is when I said, 'Roots reggae music is my favourite of all genres'," he said.

Samuel the Comet said he plans to continue producing music that will have a lasting impact on the world.

"The vision for my label and for my music career is to touch the lives of people all over the world with positive, uplifting music. That way, we can practise patience and tolerance, and choose love over the distraction of our emotions," he said.
