Policewoman allegedly took her own life in St Ann

Several police in St Ann are mourning as one of their colleagues died this morning when she allegedly took her own life.

Constable Alsiania Flynch of St Ann allegedly shot herself in the head.

Reports are that she visited the office of the Firearm Licensing Authority with her gun.

Upon returning to Hand to Mouth Street in the Exchange district of the parish, she turned the weapon on herself.

She was rushed to the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The incident is being investigated.
