Bails extended for alleged car thieves

Three St Catherine men who were allegedly caught scrapping a stolen motor car, had their bails extended when they appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate?s Court, recently.
Those charged are Sean Barkley, Steven Robinson and Shawn Blufend, all from Spanish Town.
When the matter came up before Resident Magistrate Horace Mitchell their bails were extended.
Allegations are that on September 9, 2015, a 1991 Nissan B13 was parked by the complainant at at Eltham View in St Catherine.
It was securely locked and the owner went to bed. About 3:30 a.m. when she was awoken, the vehicle was missing.
A subsequent report was made to the Spanish Town Police Station. An investigation was launched and the police found the three accused scrapping the car in McVickers Lane in the parish. They were held and further investigation resulted in them being charged with simple larceny.
The matter is to be mentioned again on February 2, 2016.
