No arrest in young vendor's murder

Up to press time last night, the St James police said they were yet to make an arrest in the Monday morning's murder of a young vendor in the parish.

The dead man had been identified by police as 24-year-old Kamal Smith, a resident of Middle Road in Norwood, St James.

Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, are that explosions were heard about 7:50 a.m., in Paradise, Norwood, and the police were called. Upon their arrival, the police found Smith's body along the roadway.

when contacted last night, the police say they are yet to identify a suspect or establish a motive for the killing. St James has been seeing a high level of murders in recent weeks.
