Twenty-three-year-old Jordane Hamilton has been living a nightmare since November 7.

Not only is he mourning the tragic passing of his father Hensley Hamilton, but he said that he is yet to know who is responsible for his death. Jordane said his father, 56, was heading home from St Ann when he was struck from his motorcycle along the Twickenham Park main road in St Catherine.

"Up to this point, I don't know who hit my dad from his bike. My dad is already dead. The police told me that my dad died in a head-on collision, but it is the side of the bike that is damaged. The headlamp is okay and that is at the front of the bike. The police said there were no eyewitnesses and I was told that I could not get anymore information without a lawyer. I just want to know who is responsible for his death," he said. When contacted, the police's Corporate Communications Unit said it had no reports of the incident.

A distraught Jordane said he rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital after he got the devastating news, but his dad had already succumbed to his injuries and his body transferred to a morgue. He identified the body at a later date.

"When I went to the hospital, I was told by the doctors that my dad was brought in unconscious by the police. The doctors said he was brought in with a serious head injury and was bleeding through his ears and nose, among things... he died shortly after he came to the hospital. We just want answers, " he said.

Jordane said his father was a well-known carpenter in his Arnett Gardens, St Andrew community and worked tirelessly to support his family.

"If you should come into Arnett Gardens and ask about 'Mr Sleepy', they will tell you how hard-working he was. He works very hard to take care of me and my little brother, especially since our mother died. He was a very good man," he said.
