WEIRD STUFF: Church leader caught thrusting into a vacuum cleaner
Moderate drinking can boost health -- study
Scientists have claimed that moderate drinking can boost health in people over 40. The researchers said they found that those in the age group who enjoyed three to four drinks per week saw their risk of illness fall by more than five per cent compared to teetotallers.
The boffins claim that sensible alcohol consumption can reduce the chances of suffering from heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
However, young adults have been warned that boozing puts them at greater risk of injuring themselves and men under 40 were at risk of harm with anything more than one drink a week.
Researcher Dr Emmanuela Gakidou, from the University of Washington's School of Medicine, said: "Our message is simple: young people should not drink, but older people may benefit from drinking small amounts."
Previous analysis from the same scientific group caused controversy in 2018 when it claimed that no booze altogether was best for a person's health.

Church leader caught thrusting into a vacuum cleaner
An ex-vicar was caught performing a sex act on a vacuum cleaner. John Jeffs was naked, apart from a pair of stockings, when he was caught in the act by a churchgoer who was attending a talk about Asperger's syndrome at The Baptist Centre in Middleton Cheney, Northamptonshire.
Jeffs was found guilty of indecent exposure after a trial at Northampton Magistrates' Court last Wednesday. The church leader, 78, was given an 18-month community order and ordered to sign the sex offenders' register.
The court heard how Jeffs --a retired vicar -- noticed the member of the public but decided to continue his romp with the vacuum cleaner's nozzle because he felt "naughty".
It was revealed that the witness saw him "standing between two dark chairs, thrusting into a Henry Hoover", which is a vacuum cleaner.
The defence solicitor claimed that Jeffs was coming to terms with the loss of his wife and had been in "a lot of pain" as he had been ignoring his health but the case went against him.
The magistrate said: "Why you thought it best to bring this matter to trial, I have no idea."
