A day before Donna-Lee Donaldson disappeared, she called her mother Sophia Lugg to check on her 'baby', a hybrid poodle she named China.

Donaldson had plans of returning home to take her for a walk but the 24-year-old never made it home and her furry friend has not been her playful self since. Donaldson's aunt Ann Marie Lugg said China and her niece were inseparable.

"Donna-Lee loved her dog more than anything else. She got her on the day she was going to China a few years back and that's how she named her 'China' and mi a tell yuh say dem love each other man. Right now China cross and a fret because a long time she nuh see her mada and she a wonder where she is," Lugg said.

China was definitely not in the mood for playing as she barked angrily at those present. According to Lugg, Donaldson ensured that China lived a luxurious life.

"China don't drink from pan, is a cup Donna-Lee feed her through and she don't eat 'cheap' food. She would take her to the vet and groom her and take care of her like how she take care of herself. If she buy three piece KFC, best believe that China getting two pieces. I remember Donna-Lee went on vacation in Europe and she cut it short because she a fret on her dog. She came home to take care of her. They really loved each other," she said.
