Heartbroken - Queenie rebrands Valentine’s Day as self-love day after split with Dowey

Last Valentine's Day, media star and recording artiste Queenie Ladi Gangsta and her husband, Duwayne Scarlett, had '14 rounds of lovemaking' to celebrate their first February 14 as man and wife.

But this year, Queenie will be spending the day alone as the couple, who has been married for almost two years, has had a rocky marriage, which has seen several online spats and arguments. Currently, Scarlett has left the family home in the United Kingdom and is in Jamaica.

"This is a broken-heart Valentine's Day because mi husband dump mi suh mi just deh here a love myself. Mi a go look for mi daughter at her grave, but other than that, it is just a self-love day with a broken heart," said Queenie.

She met Scarlett, who is 20 years her junior, while visiting Jamaica in August 2020. They tied the knot on March 20, 2021. According to Queenie, she has forgiven him on numerous occasions, but she is now at the point where she has stopped fighting for her marriage.

"Is mi alone a fight, and the man just a get worse and worse. Because every time mi forgive him, him just get worse, and every week is a drama, and it is cause by Duwayne. We are a brand that we create together, and the world love us as a married couple, but him take away himself. All of what we build together him a do it with other people," Queenie said.

"Is almost six weeks him deh Jamaica now and it is just not working out. I didn't bargain for that when I got married. He is suppose to be my road manager, and now I am getting so much bookings and now is mi alone a do mi journey dem. All is not lost because mi still a wear the ring because mi is still a wife," she added.

With their anniversary date more than a month away, Queenie said she is not making any plans except to focus on her music career.

"Is from last year March things a go bad ... so instead of making anniversary plans, mi a take away myself from now. The Titanic sink, the plane crash, and the bus tun over, but him a worry 'bout the apple because him a the nature person. Anyway, mi is still a hot gyal and top gyal and never a flop gyal. suh mi just a gwan put in the work," Queenie said.
