Clarendon man held with homemade firearm
Lawmen assigned to the Manchester Police Division arrested and charged 28-year-old Rolando Drypaul of Spaldings Hill, Clarendon, following two incidents, one in each parish.
Drypaul has been charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition. Reports are that on March 29, about 10:30 a.m., the complainant and Drypaul had a dispute on the Spaldings main road when Drypaul pulled a firearm and fired a shot at the complainant, who managed to escape. A report was made to the police which led to an investigation.
On June 15, Drypaul was apprehended by lawmen on Glencoe main road in Manchester with a homemade firearm and one 12 gauge round. He was arrested and subsequently charged with the offences after an identification parade.
His court date is being finalised.
