Social media sensation chef Rameish Desouza is set to put his culinary skills on the line when he competes in a celebrity cook-off at the highly anticipated Montego Bay Jerk & Food Festival on August 1.

The event, which will be held at Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay, St James, will see the likes of journalist Janet Silvera, Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce President Oral Heaven, and Robin Russell, general manager of Deja Resort, participating in the cook-off.

Each participant is expected to bring their unique flair to the jerk dishes being prepared.

"We are thrilled to have such talented and well-known participants in our celebrity cook-off," said John Lindo, event organiser.

He said the Best Dressed Chicken's sponsorship of the cook-off will allow for an "unforgettable

experience for all attendees".

The festival will feature captivating performances by a vibrant marching band, the enchanting melodies of the Phoenix steel band, and an all-day kiddies village.

As the sun sets, the entertainment will continue to soar with an evening show, featuring an all-star line-up of exceptional Jamaican artistes. The likes of Teejay, Rajah Wild, Moyann, Malie Donn, Professor Nuts, Kukudoo, and Petra Kaye are set to perform. Hosting duties will be performed by Ity and Fancy Cat and Julie Mango.

"We can't wait to share this incredible experience with our visitors," said public relations coordinator Joleine Longman.

"We aim to make this year's festival the best one yet, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for Jamaican culture," she added.
