Bahamian parents arrested, charged with negligence
NASSAU, Bahamas, Aug 16, CMC – The police in Bahamas arrested the parents of a two-year-old child whose unresponsive head was seen hanging out of the rear passenger window of their vehicle last weekend.
The child was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The parents, age 23 and 20, have been charged with manslaughter by negligence.
The police say that the couple were driving on Saturday, when they were alerted by motorists who informed them that the toddler’s head was hanging out the rear passenger window.
“Subsequently, the toddler was removed from the window and transported to the hospital via private vehicle where he later succumbed,” the police said.
