Orane Rhoden, 29, suffers from stage two chronic kidney disease and is in dire need of CDN$40,000 (approximately J$4.5 million) for a transplant, which is expected to be done at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Rhoden was born and raised in Manchester, where he attended Knox College, before moving to Kingston where he currently resides. His charismatic attitude served as a magnet to his friends and family, leading to passionate times spent with them.

Unfortunately, they now unite in sadness as he goes through this rough patch. Once a hard-working individual, Rhoden showed much promise and seemed poised to achieve the future he had set out for himself. Working as a credit officer, he always strived to deliver the absolute best customer service, solving every issue that arose and taking on new challenges. But all of that changed with his diagnosis.

In the past year, he contracted a nasty flu from which he eventually recovered, but there were still lingering effects. Then in April, he was diagnosed with kidney failure and both his lungs were shown to have severe damage. This has affected him drastically as he has become disoriented and feels less than his normal self. Now he is unable to do his normal activities.

"I can hardly walk at times," he told THE STAR. "I mostly stay home now."

"I can't work for long times any more and I can't move around," he told THE STAR.

A campaign has been launched on GoFundMe to assist in raising funds for him, which has so far raised CDN$2,501.
