August 22, 2023

Clayon Mills, the auto mechanic who is charged for his alleged involvement in a car-stealing ring in Old Harbour, St Catherine, was remanded when he appeared in court on Tuesday.

He is charged with larceny of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

On August 1, the police conducted an operation in the Gordonwood community in Old Harbour during which 11 stolen motor vehicles were found at varying stages of being scrapped.

Mills, who was present during the operation, was arrested after he reportedly failed to account for the vehicles.

The vehicles were seized and a comprehensive investigation launched, which resulted in Mills being charged.
