Firefighters were called in to oust a fire at the Central Sorting Office on South Camp Road on Monday morning.

Early reports suggest the fire, which started on the outside of the main building, may have been caused by a cigarette that was not properly disposed of - there is no official confirmation at this time.

There have been no reports of injuries but the STAR understand one worker passed out during the ordeal.

Work for today has been halted at the facility and motorists are being advised to expect delays.

More soon.
