Man who took Benz on joyride to appear in court on Wednesday

The man who allegedly crashed a Mercedes Benz GLE he took for a joyride over the weekend is set to appear before the St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, October 25.

It is reported that 31-year-old Nicholas Christopher Thompson gained access to the Stewart's Automotive Group compound in Kingston about 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. 

It is further reported that he got into, and drove the luxury sport SUV valued at approximately $35 million, knocking down two gates at the establishment in the process. 

The police were called and he was capture shortly after on the premises. He was taken into custody and eventually charged with malicious destruction of property.
