UPDATED: Students killed on way home from school

Two young boys, ages seven and nine, were shot and killed on their way home from school on Monday evening, officials confirmed. 

They were among five people who were attacked near Meggie Top in Salt Spring in St. James.

The boys, who were both students of Chetwood Primary School, were taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

It is reported that a man, another passenger who was also shot, died on the spot.

Their deaths follow a series of shootings in the past two weeks which has left five people dead.
