Shooting at Market Place leaves one dead

A man was shot and killed on Tuesday morning during an incident at the Market Place, located along Constant Spring Road in St Andrew. 

The man, who is reportedly an ex-cop, has been identified so far only as Coley or 'Panda'.

The STAR understands the Coley worked at a popular nightclub on the compound as security personnel. It is unclear what lead to his demise. 

He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The St Andrew Central police have launched an investigation into the matter.
