‘Barber Boy’ charged with housebreaking
Thirty-two-year-old labourer Ashwani Hunt, otherwise called 'Barber Boy', of Lookout district, Hopewell, Hanover, was charged with housebreaking and larceny following an incident in Pond Piece district in the parish on Sunday.
Reports from the Lucea police are that a man locked his house and went away. Upon his return, he realised that perpetrators forcefully broke a back door to the house, entered and stole items. The matter was reported to the police and the investigation led the police team to Hunt's community. During the operation at his house on Monday, several items that are believed to be stolen were seized -- including a box of cigars and debit cards.
Hunt was charged on Tuesday after he underwent an interview session in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being finalised.
