Illegal firearm, ammunition seized in East Kingston

A joint police/military operation along Wellington Street in Kingston 16 led to the seizure of a Glock pistol and 16 rounds of ammunition, the police confirmed. 

According to the Franklyn Town police, about 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a team carried out an operation along the aforementioned street when a premises was searched.

The search ended with the recovery of the firearm and ammunition in a transparent bag on the ceiling of an abandoned building.

Two men who were present at the address were taken into custody; however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
