Man allegedly hits stepson in face with iron
A Corporate Area woman expressed fear for her safety, stressing that her child's father has been threatening her regarding a matter that is currently before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
The woman, who attended court with her 14-year-old son, who is the complainant in the matter against her child's father, indicated that since reporting the incident of unlawful wounding, she has been forced to relocate from her home.
"Your Honour, it's been three weeks now I don't go to work. My pickney dem caah walk in peace Your Honour," the woman shared in court.
The accused has a child with the woman and reportedly got into an argument with her 14-year-old son. The man is alleged to have used a piece of iron to hit the complainant in the face. He denies the allegations.
Senior Parish Judge Lori-Anne Cole-Montaque, upon hearing the woman's concerns, imposed conditions that required the man to report to the police once weekly. He was made the subject of a fingerprint order and is to return to court on January 18, 2025 when the matter is set for mention.
