18-y-o ‘Macka’ charged with murder of Trelawny man

Eighteen-year-old Eric Simpson, also called ‘Macka’, of Water Lane, Falmouth, Trelawny is to go to court on Friday for the stabbing murder of a 57-year-old man.

Killed was Errol Sherley of York Pastures, Wakefield, Trelawny in the parish.

The police say the incident happened on the early morning of Monday, May 20.

Reports from the Falmouth police are that Simpson and Sherley had a dispute during which he used a knife to inflict multiple wounds to Sherley’s upper body.

The police were alerted and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Simpson was later charged with the offence.

He is scheduled to appear before the Trelawny Parish Court on Friday, July 12.
