Senior citizen charged in work visa and passport scam

A 60-year-old man is to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court in Linstead on Wednesday, September 11 for allegedly defrauding a woman thousands in a work visa scam.

Robert Dunn, a construction worker of Above Rocks, allegedly collected $320,500 from the unsuspecting woman between July 1 and August 15 under the guise of a work visa and passport to travel to the United States.

After not getting the documents nor a refund a report was made to the police.

After an investigation, he was arrested and charged on Tuesday, August 27.
