Teacher accused of molesting student further remanded
A St Catherine Teacher who is accused of sexual molestation of a 12-year-old student was remanded until Friday when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court.
He is answering to charges of sexual grooming, sexual touching and indecent assault.
When the matter was mentioned in the parish court on Tuesday, the defence was told that a bail application would not be entertained then.
Senior Parish Court Judge Yvette Wenthworth-Miller postponed the hearing of the application until Friday.
It is alleged that the educator took advantage of the child while she was at school. The girl told her family who reported the matter to the police.
Following an investigation the accused was arrested and charged.
