$127M Lotto winner hits jackpot after playing the same numbers for years
A Kingston resident's persistence has paid off after he won the $127 million Lotto jackpot by playing the same numbers for years.
The man, who showed up to collect his winnings disguised as a cowboy, said he believed his lucky numbers, 1, 2, 3, 10, 13 and 25, would win someday.
"Even when people said I should change them, I said no. I might use different numbers for other games like Lucky 5, but these have always been my lucky Lotto numbers and I know that one day they would hit," he said.
The numbers were drawn on October 26.
He is no stranger to winning the jackpot after taking home the Lucky 5 jackpot in the past, but this victory marks the largest prize to date.
The winner plans to invest his money wisely, focusing on completing his family home and funding his children's education. "Winning this Lotto jackpot has been a dream come true," he stated. "I am really grateful for this opportunity to change my family’s future."
"We are always heartened when winners use their winnings as catalysts for positive change, benefiting both themselves and their families. We warmly welcome our newest member to the Lotto millionaire club and wish him continued success," said VP Lotteries and Transactions at Supreme Ventures, Danielle Douglas.
