Homemade firearm and ammunition found in duffle bag in St Andrew

The St Andrew Central police seized one homemade firearm and four rounds of ammunition during an operation on Barbican Road, Kingston 6 on Monday.

Reports are that about 11:00 a.m., lawmen were conducting an operation in search of a wanted man in the area.

During the search, they discovered a duffel bag, hidden under some construction tools.

The bag was retrieved and closer examination revealed the homemade gun and bullets inside.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

Investigation continues.
