Colombian national charged with indecent assault

Lawmen attached to the Trelawny Police Division have charged 39-year-old Omar David Quiasna Romero, a maintenance manager of Stonebrook Manor, Trelawny, with indecent assault following an incident in his community on Saturday. The police say he is a Colombian national.

Reports from the police are that Romero and the complainant were having drinks and Romero later accompanied the complainant home. The complainant asked Romero to leave, but he reportedly refused. He then entered her room and began fondling her legs and breasts without her consent. The woman subsequently made a report to the police, and Romero was apprehended and taken into custody, where he was charged for the offence after a question-and-answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
