Mason accused of machete attack

A 53-year-old mason has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident in his community on January 18.

He has been identified as Christopher Brown, otherwise called 'Chris,' of Litchfield, Trelawny. Reports from the Falmouth police are that at 3 p.m., the complainant was visiting a friend when an argument developed between them. During the altercation, Brown intervened and used a machete to slap the complainant multiple times all over his body, causing swelling and bruises. A report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched. Brown was apprehended and subsequently charged on Saturday.

His court date is being finalised.
