Two Trelawny men are now facing firearms charges following a shooting incident in McHill district, Clarks Town, on February 11.

Thirty-five-year-old farmer Denton Edwards, otherwise called 'Big Dreams' and 'Bigga' of McHill district, and 21-year-old Ian Ferguson, otherwise called 'Super Meech' and 'Shot Gun' of Panasus, have been charged with possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, use of a firearm to commit a felony and damaging a building with intent to commit murder.

Reports from the Falmouth police are that about 1:30 a.m., a man was at his house when he heard strange noises at his front door and bedroom window. He made checks and saw Edwards and Ferguson, both armed with handguns, walking to the side of the house, after which he heard explosions. He ran to another section of his house to escape injury and contacted the police.

An investigation was launched and both Edwards and Ferguson were taken into custody, where they were charged. A court date is being finalised.
