‘Camfa Ball’ escapes police custody while being treated at hospital
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting that a prisoner has fled their custody this morning while being treated at a hospital in the corporate area.
The JCF is asking 29-year-old Garfield Dias, otherwise called 'Camfa Ball,' of St Paul Lane, Kingston 11 to surrender.
Dias was in custody on assault occasioning grievous bodily harm charges.
The police say he is of dark complexion, medium build and has scars on the left side of his head and right arm.
Reports from the St Andrew South Police are that at about 4:00 a.m., Dias fled the hospital.
Anyone knowing his whereabouts is being asked to contact the Hunts Bay Police at (876) 923-7111, 119 Police Emergency number or the nearest police station.
