Vendor shot dead at Old Harbour High School Gate

The police in Old Harbour, St Catherine are currently seeking to identify those responsible for the murder of a vendor at the entrance of Old Harbour High School yesterday.

Dead is Orville Bloomfield otherwise called 'Bloodstain', a 49-year-old vendor of Begonia Crescent Longville Park, Clarendon.

Reports are that about 5:50 a.m., Bloomfield was selling along South Street in the vicinity of the school's gate.

When he was pounced upon by unknown assailants and was shot repeatedly by his attackers.

Bloomfield was assisted to the Spanish Town Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established in the murder.

The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting a probe in the matter.
