Barber charged with stealing $14m worth of furniture
A court date is being finalised for a barber accused of stealing fourteen million dollars worth of furniture from a Kingston warehouse between Saturday October 25 and Thursday October 30.
The accused is forty eight year old Marlon Walker of Fernandez Road in Kingston 6. He has been charged with Warehouse Breaking and Larceny.
Reports from the Kingston Central Police are that the complainant securely locked his warehouse and left. When he returned, he discovered that the locks were cut and several items were missing. The police were alerted, and checks revealed that pieces of furniture valued at fourteen million dollars were stolen from the premises.
During a review of surveillance footage, Walker was reportedly seen removing the items. He was arrested on Friday December 05 during a police operation along Princess Street in Kingston.
He was later charged following a question and answer session in the presence of his attorney.
