During the days, he is at school urging teenagers to strive to be the best versions of themselves. By night, he and his girlfriend, a nurse, log on to OnlyFans -- a move that now earns them more in a single week than their combined salaries once did in an entire month.

The couple, Kevin* and Keisha*, live what they describe as "two completely different lives."

"As a couple, finance is a big discussion in our check in's. That does not change the fact that cost of living is ridiculously high. We are working hard and still feeling stuck," Keisha told THE STAR.

Last year, they made a decision that still feels surreal. They launched an OnlyFans account, a subscription-based platform where users pay for exclusive content. While some creators focus on fitness or lifestyle material, the site is widely associated with explicit content and has become a lucrative side hustle worldwide.

"We did not jump into it," Kevin said, "We spoke about it for weeks. At first it started off as a joke."

On their page, Keisha wears a mask to hide her identity, and Kevin never shows his face. Tattoos are covered and no names are used. Their bodies are visible, but who they are remains hidden.

"I work with children, I can't afford to be careless," he said. "We had to be smart about our decision. I can't afford to be that guy and set such example for the children I teach daily about morals to live right and do the right things."

According to the couple, their first month on the platform brought in more than either of them earned individually from their full-time jobs. By the third month, their combined earnings had doubled their household income. They welcomed a baby two years ago -- a child they say was conceived during one of their private videos.

"That video is actually our most viewed. People don't even know what they are watching," he recalled. "It took a while before we started to make good money from the platform. the content and the quality of the content have to be good."

For Keisha the reality unsettles her.

"Sometimes I do think about digital footprint. In Jamaica, doing anything sexual for money is considered taboo," she said. "As a nurse, I am supposed to represent professionalism, and respect," she continued.

"I help people at their weakest moments. I don't want anything to ever come back and hurt my child. The job is fine, because it is already compromised, we made a choice. That's how I look at it."

Kevin, however, says the experience has made them more intentional. "We know the risks, but we also know what we are doing."

At the time they started, Kevin was earning just about $130,000 per month while Keisha was unemployed. She has since landed a job as a practical nurse, earning $80,000 monthly.

Just two years ago, the couple was earning a little over $100,000 per month on the adult subscription platform. Today, they say that figure has climbed to roughly half a million. The money has cleared debts, built savings and created breathing room they never had.

"The extra cash ultimately takes away the cage of living from pay cheque to pay cheque," Kevin said.

But success came with unexpected consequences. They admitted that the platform changed how they experience intimacy.

"At first it was fun," he said. "It felt exciting like we were doing something new together." Overtime, however, it started to feel more like work.

"Some days you [are] tired but you know content have to go out. It does not necessarily take away the fun, we still enjoy each other but now there is pressure," Kevin said.

They know the judgment will come if their secret ever escapes the screen. But until then, Kevin and Keisha say they will continue doing what works for them.

"We are not ashamed. We are just trying to survive an expensive economy," Keisha said.
