Former champions Kingston College (KC) are expected to lead the pack in the boys' section after today's second day of the 2016 ISSA-GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Championships.

Three finals - the Class Two long jump, Class One long jump and 2000m steeplechase open - will be contested.

KC are expected to score in all three finals with most points coming in the Class Two long jump and the 2000m steeplechase.

In the Class Two long jump where Excelsior High's Joel Morgan is the hot favourite, both Shaquille Lowe and Yashawn Hamilton, fourth a year ago, should hand KC at least 12 points.

In the steeplechase St Jago's Thaleito Green is favoured to win but KC's Shane Buchanan and Kristof Derby are expected to score well.

A one-two finish is on the cards for Jamaica College (JC) in the Class One long jump where Obrien Wasome and Paketo Dudley are the top competitors.

KC should end on the day with 30 points, eight ahead of JC on 22. Closing out the Top five should be St. Jago 15, Calabar 11 and Excelsior nine.
