Chairman of the Arnett Gardens Football Club, Mark Golding, said he has full confidence in the abilities of head coach Jerome Waite to lead the club back to the Red Stripe League title next season.

Golding told STAR Sports that reports which have been circulating that Waite has been relieved of his duties is not true because the veteran coach has the full backing of the club's management team.

"I am not aware that anything has changed with regards to coach Waite," said Golding, who assumed the chairmanship of the club more than a week ago.

"I haven't spoken to Jerome since his recent trip with the national side because he came back on Tuesday and I haven't had a chance to talk to him, but, as far as I am aware, there is no change," he said.

"He is a successful coach and he has led the team to victories several times and he is the assistant coach at the national level. He is a tried and tested reputable coach," Golding said.

However, Golding added that the club could make some changes to player personnel ahead of the new season, which is set to begin at the end of the August.

"There may be (changes) in time for the (new) season, but let's see what happens. We are always looking for talent," Golding said.

"But as far as the coach is concerned, he remains the coach and he is part of the set-up and he has performed well over the years for Arnett and so I am not aware of any issues," he said.

Waite has led Arnett Gardens to four of the five titles that the club has won. He also led the club to the semi-finals of this year's Red Stripe Premier League competition.
