Former Harbour View and Portmore United attacking player Jermie Lynch has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in the Thailand 'V' League since his exploits overseas two and half years ago.

The wily striker has racked up eight goals and five assist in 14 games for his on-loan club Than Quang Ninh to add to his 10 goals last season in the V League with parent club Hai Pong and 11 goals in the 2017-2018 season with then champions Portmore United in the National Premier League.

Lynch believes his rising stock could serve the Reggae Boyz immensely, and the Portmore native is eager to add to his one national cap which came against Guyana, in which his debut goal gave the Reggae Boyz a 1-0 win in Montego Bay.

"I have always had that feeling of representing my country, and I believe all footballers aspire to play for their country. I got one chance for Jamaica and I scored, and I never got back another game", said Lynch.

Lynch's purple patch has not gone unnoticed this past season, with the 29-year-old being selected in the Team of the Year and nominated for the Player of the Year award.

His performances were instrumental for Than Quang Ninh in helping the V League side finish fourth this season. This was Lynch's third season in Vietnam, where he finished second in the Golden Boot race behind another Jamaican, Rimario Gordon, who was the joint leading goalscorer with 11 goals for Ha Noi.

With the Theodore Whitmore-coached Reggae Boyz currently light on options for a prolific striker, Lynch is hoping that he will once again get the opportunity to showcase his talent in the national set-up.

"I believe that if I am to get another chance I will give it my all, which I have always done. One thing is for certain, I will be ready," added Lynch.
